I Predict a Riot! Well, maybe not... Your favourite band (The Phantoms!) were especially chosen to 'entertain the troops' at the opening night of the 2005 CSSC Games, held at Loughborough University Student Union. The 1500 strong crowd that were promised mainly stayed in the bar, but the estimated 300 that bothered to venture into the vast 'Room 1' were treated to 2 full sets of Phantom magic. The sound was awesome, the light show spectacular, and a couple of the crowd were even heard to mutter that "they [the Phants] are technically very good"! Though that was just before our drummer forgot how to play one of the songs!!  We were especially pleased when the crowd all (finally!) filled the post-set dance floor to 'get jiggy with it' to the ultra-hip sounds of "Amarillo" and "Um Bop". Maybe we should learn those!
