With our aged guitarist, the new Bionic Man (or is that Moronic Man?), surviving his recent lobotomy it was gig No.3 in the 'Cock Pit' for the Phantoms. 95 eager 'Phans' gathered (a new personal best for us at the venue!) to initially see another fantastic support slot from the Bigg Man & his surprise mystery guest, Mark 'Woodcutter' on the drums. Their well planned encore (Swing Low) was slightly ruined by the fact that England had just lost the rugby that afternoon, but everyone still joined in anyway. They were so good, one of the crowd actually combusted during the set! He was eventually put out & the Phantoms then took to the stage. The steaming masses were then treated to a whole 2 hours of Phantom magic crammed full of new stuff, old stuff and a couple of extended reworked 12" versions of some of our more popular songs (which nearly caused our bass player to combust!). If you were unfortunate enough to miss this entertaining evening, don't worry as we will be doing it all over again in 6 days!...
