Daryl
Sherman presents Jazz Goes To Broadway
From the late 20s up
through the 21st century the Broadway theatre has
spawned a treasure trove of the world's most beloved
songs but it was jazz musicians and pop singers who took
them out of the context of the show and really put them
on the map. Daryl Sherman and her trio take you on a
swinging, heart warming tour thanks to the brilliance of
Cole Porter, Richard Rodgers, Hart, Hammerstein, the
Gershwins, Leonard Bernstein, Sondheim (and a little
Noel Coward for added seasoning.)
"Daryl has yet to
meet a standard whose charms she couldn't extract...and
manages to find contemporary resonance in everything."
