Specialising in post
war jazz, with influences that include Mainstream,
Latin, Bebop and some more recent musical developments.
If you want a swinging time then the Colin Peters
Quartet is your band!
The quartet is equally at home entertaining jazz
devotees as the house band in Googlies Jazz Club, or
providing music for dinners, cocktail receptions or
parties, with a vocalist or augmented with more
musicians as required. They create a great, fun
atmosphere that has the audience dancing in the aisles!
Colin Peters is the pianist and director of the
quartet’s music. Colin’s musical career has given him
the ability to apply great sensitivity and tastefulness
to everything he plays.
The multi instrumentalist, Bill Yeomans plays
imaginative and thoughtful jazz on tenor and soprano
sax, alto sax, clarinet and flute.

The bassist, Michael
Cole, has the benefit of a long and colourful career in
music, stretching back to his days as a member of Mungo
Jerry, when he appeared on Top of The Pops, many
concerts, festivals and tour programmes.
John Jarvis is the drummer who, with Michael, provides
the rhythm and drive that complements the guests and
other members of the quartet. His enthusiasm, sense of
fun and energy are tempered by his ability to listen and
respond to those he accompanies.
“Playing with the
Colin Peters Quartet is one of the great joys of
London's Jazz life”
Digby Fairweather
“great atmosphere mainly due to the rapport between the
band and the audience. The emphasis is firmly on
swinging!”
Alan Barnes
“The Colin Peters Quartet make it such fun for all that
if there were more room, everyone would be up dancing”
